French Windows

The very distinctive style and flair of a continental window, offering a chic appearance combining excellent ventilation, security and means of escape.

Brand Windows are experienced French window installers with thousands of satisfied customers in the Newbury and surrounding area. Our highly experienced installation team maintain a consistently high standard of installation with much of our business being obtained through recommendation.

French windows have been designed to meet the building and fire regulations where a large opening is required. On smaller casement windows the opening sash maybe restrictive to escape from. With French windows both sashes can fully open with unrestricted means of escape. During normal use if preferred only one of the sashes maybe opened leaving the other sash opening locked in place.

French windows when closed appear to look the same as your standard opening casement windows in the rest of your property. When opened there is no mullion bar allowing the whole of the window to be open. The mullion is part of the window frame running vertically splitting the window in two.

Superior energy efficiency

Our windows deliver superior energy efficiency. Choose either A- rated or C- rated energy rated windows to reduce heating bills and keep your home warm while helping towards reducing the UK overall carbon dioxide emissions.

Style with security

Choose from ovalo or chamfered style frames and colours. Casement windows are fitted with high security locking systems for piece of mind. French windows offer security with both sashes being locked individually with high security shootbolt locking system. For safety reasons both sashes are fitted with fire escape hinges to maximise the opening. These hinges also have the facility to slide the sashes to allow enough room for the outside pane of glass can be cleaned from inside your property.

Our windows are durable and robust, giving long-life, low maintenance performance. We are always happy to give professional advice on window styles, although the final choice is of course yours.
